When choosing general-purpose laboratory stirring equipment, should you choose a brushed motor or a brushless motor?
ANSWER: The rotary motor (motor) is the core component of laboratory stirring instruments and equipment, and its type/performance directly affects the overall performance of the equipment. Brushed Motor:
The brushed motor transmits direct current to the rotor assembly through carbon brushes. Under the action of the surrounding stator magnetic field, the rotor generates mechanical force to rotate the shaft to provide power. Direct brush motors are relatively cheap and have been widely used. Since the carbon brushes will wear out during use, brush motors require regular maintenance and replacement of the carbon brushes.
Brushless Motor:
As the name suggests, brushless motors do not require the use of carbon brushes. Instead, they use an electrical control system to control the electromagnetic coils of the stator, switching their magnetic poles to rotate the rotor and generate mechanical energy. The use of controllers and sensors increases the cost and complexity of brushless motors, making them more efficient and more suitable for continuous speed control applications. The lack of carbon brushes also reduces brush maintenance, loss, noise, etc.
To sum up, due to its price advantage, brushed motors are a good choice in fields with lower requirements in all aspects. Except for being more expensive, brushless motors are obviously superior to brushed motors in other aspects and have more extensive and in-depth applications in the laboratory field.
