The Benchmark SureAir™ PCR workstation is a compact, convenient way to reduce contamination concerns and provide a clean room environment at a fraction of the space and cost. The high-powered yet quiet internal fan produces laminar flow conditions without any installation into ductwork. The included HEPA filter purifies air within the chamber, meeting ISO 5 cleanliness standards, and filters 99.97% of particles 0.3 µm and larger. The double-hinged front panel provides ample workspace for convenient hand access, and can be opened fully to allow placement of equipment inside.
The SureAir is designed to keep your workspace clean, easy-to-use, and organized. An included germicidal UVC light eliminates any stray DNA that may contaminate samples, and is programmed to automatically shut off after 15 minutes. To protect users, the UVC light is only operational when the cover is closed, and will shut off upon opening the cover.
Ample lighting is provided by an energy efficient LED light source. Up to 3 standard size pipettes are accommodated by the pipette holder integrated within the storage shelf. Pipette tips and small instruments can also be stored away from the main workspace when not in use. Power cables can easily be routed through the access port on the right side of the chamber.

Labcycler 48 has a block with 48 wells for 0.2 ml tubes in an array of 6 x 8. Working with single tubes and stripes is possible. Heating and cooling rates are 3.5 °C/s and 3.2 °C/s during real operations. A coloured touchscreen and a well-known graphical user interface results in an easy to use handling. 680 programs can be stored in directories that can be optionally protected by passwords. There are temperature and time in(de)crements, ramp rates, re-start function, an online help and of course gradient function with 8 zones. A cheaper version without gradient function, but the option of an upgrade is also available. Its small size fits into every lab.
SensoQuest offers two version: Labcycler 48 without Gradient and Labcycler 48 Gradient.
Gradient: Up to ± 10 °C from the centre of the block, this means 20 °C from left to right.
Labcycler Basic
The Labcycler Basic (011-103) is a thermal cycler designed for classical PCR. Since 2005 Labcyclers are produced by SensoQuest and are in use. Take a look at references. The solid design with an aluminum front plate and a warranty of 5 years makes the system for all users interesting looking for quality. The system has a quick-block-changing system. With only one grip the scientist can put in a Thermoblock 48 (012-102), a Thermoblock 96 (012-103), a Thermoblock 384 (012-101), a Triple Block (012-104), or others. The TFT colored Touch Screen can be programmed in English, Spanish, or German at any time. The PCR-process is online tracked. The user interface is intuitive. The Labcycler has an electro-motoric heating lid. Maximal temperatures up to 110 °C at 120 Newton pressure are possible. The ecologic development concept results in a low power consumption system. Only 350 watts are used at maximal power, and low waste heat is produced by low noise. Nevertheless, the Labcycler can cool down at 4 °C for a very long period, e.g. over the weekend. The peak performance is demonstrated in cooling down to minus 5 °C. Instant incubation at the freezing point is possible. The low power consumption results in a low CO2 – emission which is positive for the balance of energy.
