Since 1983, the ARE 5 Hotplate Stirrer has been the product of choice for basic laboratory heating and stirring requirements. Reference in many laboratories around the world from universities and research centers to industrial laboratories. The 135 mm diameter aluminum alloy top plate ensures temperature uniformity and optimum heat transfer across the entire surface. Two illuminated indicator lights always notify the operator when the heat is on. Also, when the temperature of the plate is above 50°C, the icon remains lit even when the instrument is turned off.
The internal electronics are protected by an insulating disc which, together with the robust die-cast aluminum housing, enables the ARE 5 to withstand the harshest laboratory environments and applications, e.g. when working with cold media (below 0°C).
Additionally, the ARE 5 Hotplate Stirrer is IP42 certified and comes with a 2-year warranty (online product registration required).
You can rely on the robust ARE 5 with its powerful brushless motor for everyday laboratory applications with stirring volumes up to 15 liters (H2O). By turning the left knob of the ARE 5, the temperature can be adjusted up to 310 °C, while the right knob allows the stirring speed to be set from 100 to 1500 rpm.The ARE 5 is equipped with SpeedServo™ torque compensation technology designed by VELP to ensure constant speed even when the viscosity of the medium changes.
